Uness: More Than Just an Artist
Since his beginnings as a precocious 16 year-old, Uness’ unlimited potential has taken him to all four corners of the globe, earning him praise and attention from industry leaders on both the executive and creative sides of the fence. International from the outset, Uness has performed for fans in the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Costa Rica and his native Morocco. Whether singing on his acoustic guitar in an intimate setting or capturing timeless moments in-studio, Uness has always known how to touch his listeners by means of the universal language that is music.

In 2006, Uness struck a deal with super-producer Ryan Leslie's NextSelection Lifestyle Group. He's had a direct hand in crafting his many hits as a soloist, notably “Woman Got Culture” as well as “Taste Your Heartbeat” and has written for the likes of Cassie and Katharine McPhee ("Not With You" and "Do Me Right" respectively). Alongside his breakout singles, Uness has released numerous mixtapes, sharing hosting duties on “The Future of R&B Vol.12” with New York’s TapeMasters Inc. in 2007, a project he was also featured on. Two years later, Uness released his official mixtape series called “The Seeker,” the highlight of which was a collaboration with fellow recording artist Drake (Would You Love Me).

In addition to his solo career, Uness founded a cultural movement inspired by the struggle of oppressed youths worldwide.

Uness debuted Crime in the City (CIC) in the summer of 2008, a community-oriented artist collective designed to provide young aspiring artists with a non-violent creative environment in which they can freely express themselves. Centered around his Montreal, Canada homebase, Uness and Crime in the City have been making records and developing projects in-house alongside producers Le Couz and DJ IZ, featuring a diversity seldom seen anywhere else. Rap acts like AC, Trai'd, Rasheeda, CeasRock, I.Blast, Preach Ankobia, L.E.S, and Paris Jones, pop acts such as 3AM, The Mission District, Jacynthe, Abby and countless others, Crime In The City is truly a breeding ground that enriches an already fertile pool of talent.

This year, Uness will be flooding social networks with new album by the title of DOA - Dead Or Alive, A project that showcases him as more than just an artist, Uness is a songwriter, producer and, ultimately: a visionary.
