By bridging the worlds of marketing and music, DJ Steve Porter has established himself as the go-to audio video producer for major companies across the globe.
A leading international DJ for more than a decade, Porter has been a fixture at music festivals and nightclubs throughout the world. His extensive career has included performances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Ultra Music Festival, as well as shows everywhere from China and Australia, to Croatia and Brazil and every major city in North America. As a result, Porter was ranked #2 on the DJ Times’ “America’s Best DJ” list in 2009. Porter has produced 5 albums and released over 80 singles and 40 remixes worldwide.
Porter turned his sights to video remixing when he remixed the “Slap Chop” infomercial into the “Rap Chop”, which became a viral sensation and garnered over 14 million views. The worlds of advertising, entertainment, sports, and popular culture all took note, and hired Porter to create “video mash-ups” to reach their consumers.
To facilitate the creation of his in-demand remix videos, Steve Porter founded his production company PorterHouse Media in 2009. In the past years Porter and PorterHouse Media have worked with major companies such as ABC, NBC, CBS, TNT, Disney, ESPN, E!, and VH1, to name a handful. As a result, Porter has been hailed as the “Digital Mix Master” by Sports Illustrated Magazine, named ‘Top 100 Most Creative People’ by Fast Company, won 2012 and 2013 Webby Awards, nominated for an Emmy Award, won 3 Promaxbda Awards, made ‘Top 5 TV Moments’ on hulu and made the ‘Top 10 Viral Video Campaign’ list for Ad Age.
With a growing video company, PorterHouse Media and a record label, PHRecordings and unparalleled technical skills, Steve Porter remains at the forefront of the both industries.
