The cousin of Lenny Kravitz, DJ Ruckus was only 15 when he became resident DJ at Crobar in Miami Beach.
His exciting mix of hip-hop and urban hits soon had him being flown to the coasts for gigs at New York's Lotus and Los Angeles' Shelter. In 2004 the track "Sexhibition" on Janet Jackson's Damita Jo album introduced him as a producer. While remixing and co-production on tracks by Macy Gray, TLC, Ice Cube, and OutKast during the day, he spent his nights DJing parties held by such celebrities as Adrien Brody, Christina Aguilera, Diddy, and Steven Tyler. When he appeared in the film ATL in 2006 he added acting to his résumé. ~ David Jeffries
