Sydney-bornDJ-Producer Mike Kelly hit the decks with turntablist and clubber/ raverfriends in the early nineties, driven by the city’s vibrant underground houseand rave scene.
His audiotaste spectrum is eclectic, his mixing energetic, his style a hybrid fusion ofhouse, tech, tribal, techno, progressive, and related sounds. Musicallyhe attempts fusion in orgy, as hypnotic melodies interweave; bass-lines propelthe energy forward; sensual-spatial environments encompass the air; romanticimagery warm the soul, and his technical skills heighten the intensity.
Mike playedthroughout Australia´s east coast, playing Sydney Mardi Gras Party seven timesas well as residencies at Midnight Shift, Soho, The Civic, Manacle andcountless others at top Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane hotspots until 2005,when Mike moved to Germany on a musical exploration tour - initially inFrankfurt, then Berlin, and finally settling in Cologne.
AS A DJ Hefollowed only the sounds which penetrated deeper than his ears. Mike'ssound and mixing styles developed extra dimensions and smooth precision. Inthis voyage of sound he sought a travelling community of bohemian future-musiclovers...and found them. Withinsix months, he was snapped up as resident of an iconic Cologneprogressive club (Greenkomm), and the now-infamous boutique event in Brussels (Naughty).
Mike now is on constant tour across Western Europe, Australia, Mexico, and evenIsrael at premier events: Scream/LABs (Paris), Infinita, Kluster, Ohm and SpaceOf Sound (Madrid), Kit Kat (Berlin, Karlsruhe, Cologne), GMF (Berlin), GIAM & Gay Village (Rome),Hustlaball (Berlin), Criminal Candy (Napoli), Gayday (Salento), Furball(Amsterdam).
