She started mixing and spinning at the age of 12 in Hueytown, AL.

"It was more like a habit or a hobby, until I found out that I could actually get paid for what I like to do," stated Mrs. Henry.

The origins of her name derived from a club she was spinning at. The name of the club was not mentioned due to the faulty wiring that ignited a fire in the DJ's booth while Mrs. Henry was spinning. The audience had no idea that this wasn't part of the night's events, earning Mrs. Henry the name, DJ Firestarta.

Today, DJ Firestarta, is sponsored by Good Times Fine Tobacco Products as one of the Good Times Hot 100 Party DJs. She’s the former mixtape DJ for Roy Jones, Jr.’s record label, Body Head Entertainment. She’s the founder and co-owner of Flame On Radio (2015 SCM Awards Winner Of The Best Internet Radio Station Award), the co-owner of Foxxy Fire Entertainment, an A&R for Do It Big Music Group, an active member of the Fleet DJs, the Nerve DJs, and the Coast 2 Coast DJ Coalitions.
