In 1990 they released their worldwide smash hit, Groove Is In The Heart, which still packs dance floors today and which Rolling Stone Magazine recently called one of 10 best dance tracks of all time. After releasing five albums, eleven number one dance hits and touring around the world to much critical acclaim the group disbanded in '95. DJ Dmitry has made remixes for many artists, including Arthur Russell, Jungle Brothers, Sinead O'Connor, Ziggy Marley and others. His lifetime love affair with film and film-makig has led him to scoring and songwriting for films including Scream (with Julee Cruise of Twin Peaks/ David Lynch), Party Girl, and several short films. Continuing his work with Julee Cruise, the duo had released the album "My Secret Life" A compilation CD/DVD, entitled Finca AM is out which features Dmitry's new tracks and music videos. Dmitry continues DJ'ing, moving crowds around the globe from Hong Kong to Jerusalem and from Berlin's Love Parade to Brazil's Rock In Rio. He was given a DJ of the year award in the party capital of the world, Ibiza. DJ Dmitry is currently based in Berlin where he continues composing, producing and re-mixing.
