Spanish rock band Dixebra made its debut in a compilation released in 1989, featuring "Rapaza Nacionaliega." The band's first album, called Grieska, issued by Fono Astur in 1990, featured the awarded "Merucu Xusticieru," followed by 1993's ¿Asturies o Trabayes? Dixebra, which means separation, combines Latin ska, folk-rock, reggae, and hip-hop, and its lyrics are written in Asturias' own language, becoming a very special number in the local rock scene.
1995's D'Apuntate a la Llista, released by Grabaciones L'Aguañera, was followed by 1997's Dieron En Duru. In addition, the group participated in a compilation called Las Palabras Nos Separan, Los Hechos Nos Unen along with Intolerance and Escandalo Publiko. ~ Drago Bonacich
