Lincoln, NE's Dirtfedd were "discovered" by Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn Crahan (aka Clown), who would later produce their debut album, The American Nightmare, for E1 Records.
Released in 2009 and filled with numerous heavy-handed influences ranging from 2000s metalcore to 1990s nu metal, the album capped a quick rise for the group, whose members include vocalist Dustin Travels, guitarists Eric Marshall and Brian Luginbill, bassist Scott Root, drummer Brock Wettstead, and keyboardist and sampler Travis Wagner. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
