Devonera seamlessly blends together elements of Metalcore, New Wave of American Heavy Metal, Thrash, Power Metal, Prog, Rock and Melodic Death Metal, drawing inspiration from all sub-genres of heavy music.
Subsequently, Devonera cannot be categorised into any one style, as each song is different to the rest.Devonera recorded their debut album, ‘The Burning Gates’, at Against The Grain Studio – renowned for being one of Australia’s top Metal-producing studios. With only mastering and artwork to be finalised, the album will be ready for release late 2013.
Since its inception, Devonera has:
*Supported Australian metal legends Lord on their national Digital Lies tour.
*Won an Australia-wide poll to play Adelaide’s premier annual Australian Metal show, Metal for a Cure - the only band in the show’s history to do so.
*Appeared on Radio Adelaide’s ‘Local Noise’ program, where they played a full set on-air.
*Made a guest appearance on Three D Radio’s ‘Powersurge’ program.
