Leur raison d’être, de chanter?

Rendre hommage à Aldo et Sofia, Le frère de Fabio et sa petite amie, accidentellement décédés, en Décembre 2007.

C’est en février 2008 que le groupe de Parrot est né.

Fabio est invité à participer à un concours acoustique aux Pays-Bas. Il demande à un ami de son frère,Samuel, de jouer avec lui. En seulement cinq jours, le duo écrit et compose à huis clos six morceaux, tous rendent hommage, abordent la nostalgie, le souvenir mais pas seulement. Comme un signe du destin,le duo emporte le concours. Et puis tout s’enchaine. Les six morceaux seront enregistrés e mixés par Gil Chevigné et feront partie du premier EP du groupe , intitulé WITNESS.

De leur émotion contenue, le groupe a créé plus qu’un style, un genre à part entière. Des sentiments personnifiés, une magie née d’un départ inopiné. De Parrot est un projet intimiste et sincère.

Leur premier album autoproduit est intitulé -Live Session- .

En automne 2015, le plus grand groupe métal belge, Channel Zero, choisit De Parrot pour assurer la première partie des 11 concerts pour leur Unplugged Tour.

En 2016 le groupe enregistre au LotuStudio leur nouveau EP, entitulé GIFT, qui sera mixé et masterisé au Long Beach studio Longueil, Montreal (Canada) par Pasquale Caruana. GIFT est sortie le 13 octobre 2016 en format Carte-usb.

Born in Liège in 2008, De Parrot is a band dedicated to the memory of two beautiful people,

Aldo (Boddah's drummer) and his girlfriend Sofia, gone too soon because of a tragic accident.

Created by Fabio,(Aldo's brother) and Samuel (Aldo's best friend) , the acoustic duet had a brilliant performance at an acoustic contest in Tilburg (NL), their second gig was in Rome (IT).

Fabio and Samuel performed in most of the small clubs in the Liège area.

In 2010 the band recorded their first full album called "Live session". The album was the follow-up of the first demo called "Witness".

Gil Chevigné recorded and mixed all the songs.

The band has already performed in some of the most important European capitals as Rome, Bruxelles, Amsterdam and London.

De Parrot proposes progressive alternative rock music tinted of pure emotions.

In the fall 2015, the most famous belgian metal-band, Channel Zero, picked up De Parrot as one of their support act for their 'Unplugged Tour'.

In the beginning of 2016 the band start the recording of the new songs, once recorded in the LotuStudio(Liège) the songs were sent to the Long Beach Studio Longueil in Montreal (Canada) for the mixing and mastering, that was done by Pasquale Caruana.

The new EP entitled GIFT has been released, on a card-usb format, on October 13th 2016.

De Parrot is de naam van de band gevormd door gitaristen Fabio Pullara en Samuel Ciulla. Wat is hun reden om te zingen? De groep is een hommage aan Fabio's broer en diens vriendin, Aldo en Sofia, die bij een accident plots overleden in december 2007. Het was in februari 2008 dat De Parrot werd geboren. Fabio werd op dat moment uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan een wedstrijd voor akoestische muziek te Nederland. Hij vroeg voor deze speciale gelegenheid aan Samuel, een vriend van zijn broer, met hem te spelen. In slechts een luttele vijf dagen tijd schreef en componeerde het duo maar liefst zes nummers. Deze waren tot de rand gevuld met de nagedachtenis aan het jonge koppel, met nostalgie, herinneringen, maar dat niet alleen. Als een teken van het lot, won het duo de wedstrijd en toen viel alles samen. Vanuit onderdrukte emotie heeft de groep een eigen stijl gecreëerd. Intense gevoelens worden verpersoonlijkt en omsluiten een magie die ontspruit aan de schok van een plots afscheid. De Parrot is een intiem en oprecht project, dat reeds een trouwe navolg heeft gekregen na enkele succesvolle optredens op plaatsen zoals het Cultureel Centrum te Chênée, Chez Bouldou, La Légia, L'an Vert, Tip en in verschillende zalen te Europa (Italië, Nederland, Engeland). Hun eerste album is getiteld -Live Session-.

In de periode van oktober tot december 2015, werd de band gekozen als voorprogramma voor de band Channel Zero, ter ondersteuning van hun akoestische tournee doorheen België.
