With the world listening to his every note, singer/producer,Da’Ville defines his style of reggae with a fusion of Pop and R&B swirledwith soul. Putting his life experiences in each of his hit songs, this artistextraordinaire is a force to reckon with.
“I was born singing” jokes Da’Ville, “as a youth, singingwas my only escape from everything that was traumatizing and painful in life tome. My life was rough, wasn’t an easy one at all; and to escape it all I sangin church and at all the local school functions when I could.” With a rooted passionfor music and a developing strength for performance, Da’Ville continued to singhoping to fulfill his dream as an entertainer.
Da’Ville was raised by his Grandmother who emphasized theimportance of education and religion which helped him build the foundation forhis art of expression today. In 2005, after a successful debut album releasedwith Avex Entertainment Group (Japan), Da’Ville was signed to AvexEntertainment Group for 3 more years releasing 3 consecutive successful albums.
As a singer, songwriter, composer and producer, Da’Ville'smusic has topped charts locally and internationally allowing him theopportunity to work with recording companies such as Avex Japan, Ki/oon, SonyMusic Japan, VP Records (Indie) and Fashozy Records (Indie).
Da’Ville has appeared in several music videos, andtelevision commercials. Hisswagger earned the attention of commercial endorsements from Nike (Japan),Nesta Clothing (Japan), Mizchif Clothing (USA), Cooyah Clothing and CooyahSpring Water (Jamaica).
In 2011, Da’Ville took a break from the music front line butreturn in February 2012 with the release of “You Got The Ting” which gainedworldwide recognition and is part of his most recent album called Krazy Love.The album was produced by Fashozy Records Inc and was released on June 2012 byZojak Worldwide (digital/online), Tads International (physical copy) andRockers Island for the territory of Japan.
Now totally independent, Da'Ville is proving that there’s nostopping him.
Following in all his successes, he has recently written hislatest hit singles “Love Mi Di Same” which soared to the #1 on the GermanyUrban and MTV Urban music charts where it spent 5 weeks in that position, and"One In A Million". His reggae remake of Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors”has also enjoyed chart-topping success by hitting the #1 spot on the JamaicanMusic Countdown and also won song of the year in the crossover category for2013 Rave Live Reggae & Dancehall Awards in Nairobi Kenya. “Love Mi Di Same”produced by Deebuzz Music were released in August 2013 while both “One In AMillion” and “Mirrors” are produced by Silly walks Discotheque and werereleased in February 2013. The singles, among many others, have been makingwaves in Africa, Europe, Japan, North America, and the Caribbean proving thatDa’Ville is one of the most celebrated Pop/Reggae R&B artists today.
His expanding fan base continues to increase because of hisdedication and commitment to music.
