Yes, there really is a Seuss. In fact, there are several hundred Seuss family members that exist in the United States that have emigrated over from Germany. David was born and raised in the Hawkeye State in a small town. He grew up as like any other normal child would have with two brothers. David was a middle child who began his art work at the age of 4 in Marshalltown, Iowa. His mother, Catherine V. (Blotsch) Sease-Seuss still has a drawing that he made of his parents kissing. David has a unique talent in art from a young age and is a natural style that resembles another Seuss style. His father was a factory worker, which had worked two to three jobs in order to provide for his family. They never went without while growing up in the Midwest.

Later, He finished high school and followed his older brother Brad by joining the Marines and throughout his 8 years in the military became well known for his artistic abilities, but he left the Marines after the end of the Gulf war in 1991 as a decorated war vet and went back to Iowa to attend a community college studying computer science and then to Santa Ana College to Study Liberal Arts and 3D Animations.
