Dave Simons started entertaining audiences in England during the sixties

when he became a Butlin’s Redcoat on the entertainment staff at Butlin’s

Holiday Camps as a singer/comedian, later taking on the tough working

men’s clubs in the north of England.

After working a variety of cruise ships Dave finally settled in Australia in 1974

performing gigs all around Australia, including the Don Hotel where he

worked with Chuck Berry. Moving to the Gold Coast in 1981 became the

resident entertainer in “The Parisienne Room” at the “Chateau Hotel” in

Surfers Paradise, eventually setting up the “Talk of the Town” theatre

restaurant in Mermaid Beach.

For the last 18 years Dave has been performing around NSW and Qld at a wide variety of venues.
