A word-class guitarist,powerful vocalist, and acclaimed songwriter, his hard-grooving roots-rock music is infused with the passion of the blues and a jazzman's improvisational spirit. Tearing into a driving rocker or soaring over a smooth groove, his performances always deliver with electric energy, artistry, and taste.

Isaacs formed roots-groove trio DI3 with bassist Brook Sutton and drummer Robert Crawford in 2007. A classic power trio that recalls Cream and Led Zeppelin in their intensity and musical interplay, but capable of soaring jazz-inflected improvisational flights or swampy funk. The band's 2011 CD “Torch” is a tour de force of Southern-inspired grooves, from Nashville-style Americana rock to New Orleans funk and Muscle Shoals soul. A new DI3 disc is slated for release in July 2013.
