Dave Hillis started his career as a 17 year old guitarist for the legenary thrash metal band "MACE.
" In the mid 80's, they released two LP's on Enigma Records in the US and Blackdragon Records in Europe.

They were featured on Metalblade Records Metal Massacre V, recognized in the Trashmetal Encyclopedia and fanzine's around the world as a pioneering force in heavy metal. Led by Dave's furious guitar work they Charted in the UK. and Japan's top 20; touring with the likes of Slayer, Anthrax, Raven, Death Angel and Testament. Dave sucessfully move onto several genres of music inluding the 90's alteritive rock group "Sybil Vane" as guitarst and song writer; signing two major label recording and publishing deals with Polydor and Island Records. Sybil Vane's song "Sorry" was also featured in the movie "Empire Records" staring actress Liv Tyler.

In 2005, Dave produced, mixed and engineered the group "Thee Heavenly Music Association" (Rehash Records US, Fierce Panda Records UK) to much critical aclaim where he also served as the group's guitarist and songwriter.

Dave also spent ten years along side producer Rick Parashar at Seattle's London Bridge Studios during the birth of the grunge era; working as engineer on Pearl Jam's debute "Ten" Alice in Chains, Seattle Symphony and "Singles" Soundtrack. Dave developed his own Producer skills with multiple major label artists. During this time he co-produced with Greg Dulli; the Afgan Whigs' standout farewell single "66" on the "1965 " LP and the Twilight Singers "She Loves You" record. Dave's alter ego electronica music persona "LO-REZ" has received critical acclaim and has been featured on major motion film soundtracks.

Dave co-produced the Kevin Martin (Candlebox) solo record "The Possibilty Of Being" on Gold Circle Entertaiment. He also spent some time as a live guitarst for Duff McGagen's band "Loaded". In London dave worked with multi platinum artist James Blunt at EMI studios on his writing demos for his hugely successful "Bedlam" album. Which included "Your Beautiful" and, "Good Bye My Lover". As well as Britpop star, Chris Gentry's (Menswear) solo recordings. Dave opened Starlodge Studios in the SODO neighborhood of Seattle in 2011; a private mix and overdub room featuring vintage and modern recording tools and his beloved ampex 1/2" tape Machine for analog magic. Dave Is also available to produce at any recoding facility and is offering Mixing and or profesional analog Mastering.
