From taping songs on the radio as a kid in the '80s, to collecting rap tapes, to collecting metal CDS and dubbing my friends' albums, to over twenty years of constant concerts to the last ten years I've spent reporting, editorializing, reviewing, interviewing and photographing bands--I guess it's safe to say I love music.
I currently write for metalunderground.com but have lent my thoughts to many other metal blogs including Blistering.com, en.metalship.org, metalcentre.com, metal-mayhem.uk, louderthanhell.net (partner publisher) and thegauntlet.net.I currently live in the live music capital of the world, Austin, Texas where I have covered at venues all around town including Stubbs, Austin City Music Hall, Austin 360, Infest, Red 7, Headhunters, Beerland, Elysium and many other great places to hear live music.
Austin is a great place to see music festivals. I've covered several of these including Fun Fun Fun Fest, SXSW, Chaos in Tejas, and most recently, Phil Anselmo's Housecore Horror Film and Heavy Metal Festival.
