He received his Bachelor's Degree in Classical Guitar Performance, with honors, from California State University Northridge.

After college, he won an audition to join a U. S. military band as a guitarist performing rock, pop, and jazz music. As a musician in the military band, he traveled extensively performing on stage for millions of audience in the U.S., and countries in the Middle--East and the Pacific -Asia.

Currently, he is still an active performing musician. He is also a mentor/music teacher.
