The group was founded in the early 90's starting his own research on the origins and traditions of the folk music of Southern Italy, moving in the direction of the recovery of a musical memory .
The passion for choral music, find themselves in the traditional festivals, the search as well as the official written texts and music known other signs of popular tradition, were the common reasons that have drawn the current appearance of the group.

Their training comes directly from the school of the elders, learning the shapes of sound, song and dance during rituals and religious festivals.

In respect of their origins and the identity of their Damadakà propose its own path based on traditional languages, enriching them with new elements sometimes expressive.

The result is a new interpretation of this ancient music without betraying the essence, reaffirming the importance of the sung word.
