Guitarist/singer Kathy Cashel met fellow guitarist James Brady at a concert in 1997.
Their respective groups were breaking up, so they decided to play together as the Blisters with a revolving door of bassists and friend Jim Schaffer on drums. That band lasted for a year, but after the loss of their drummer they hired in drummer Jenn Thomas, kept the last bassist who they had hired (Drew Sutter), and started Cry Baby Cry. The group went into the studio during the fall of 2001 and recorded an album with Burning Airlines frontman J. Robbins. Their debut album came out the next spring on Dischord Records. ~ Bradley Torreano
