This satirical UK hardcore/metal quintet was formed in 1987 by vocalist Andy and guitarists Richard and Mario.
With the addition of drummer Roy and bass player Tally, they signed to the independent Jungle label. Their amusingly titled debut saw chainsaw guitars collide with machine-gun drumming, while the lyrics dealt with contemporary issues such as television evangelists, sexual perverts, childhood anxieties and warmongers. Never big on subtlety, Creaming Jesus, whose name in itself was enough to send the weak-hearted into apoplexy, sustained a rudimentary talent over a succession of albums.
