Cool Beat Borscht formed as a trio in 2005 and is the ever-evolving musical brainchild of Tom Moose (guitar), April Fletcher (bass)and Ira Miller (drums/percussion).
Influenced by genres including jazz, folkloric music from various corners of the world, electronica, classical, hip-hop, funk, experimental, rock, the members of CBB continue to grow as musicians, composers and producers. All members are multi-instumentalists and bring the depth of that experience and knowledge to the soup that is Cool Beat Borscht.

Several years after collaborating on other projects, the three were still playing together – jamming regularly in the basement of Ira and April’s house (aka The House of a Thousand Stairs). They found common ground in their love of creating music with passion, groove and a sense of humor and decided to begin publicly as a trio.

Along with their book of jazz standards and pop adaptations, the trio continues to develop its own original style. In November of 2012, CoolBeat Borscht released its debut full-length album of original material, entitled Savannah Sessions available on Spotify, CD Baby and iTunes.
