Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Complete Failure was a hybrid metal outfit, combining the earnestness of metalcore with the experimental flourishes of post-metal and the sheer, unabashed power of grindcore.
Won over by the band's unique and brutal sound, SuperNova Records (the label owned by Today Is the Day frontman Steve Austin) signed the band, and released their debut, Perversions of Guilt, in 2008. The band -- Joe Mack (vocals), Erik Wynn (guitar), James Curl (bass), and Mike Rosswog (drums) -- spent the rest of their 2008 touring in support of the work. ~ Chris True
