He is graduate in clarinet and electronic music at Torino Conservatory and, after, at Accademia Chigiana in Siena.

His first graduation in clarinet was in 1972 and he began from 1978 to play classical clarinet in various Symphonic Ensembles as TEATRO REGIO and RAI in Torino, TEATRO COMUNALE of Bologna and TEATRO MASSIMO in Palermo.

In the same time he began to study jazz saxophone whit his fellow student and close friend Flavio Boltro, actually international star of jazz trumpet, making his first jazz recording in 1978.

For about fifteen years they continued to play toghether in a lot of groups, in JULIUS FARMER quintet and finally in GIORGIO GASLINI SOLAR BIG BAND, from about 1982 to 1985.

During this project we can report two great tours dedicated to Monk and Ellington with the great theatre actor GIORGIO ALBERTAZZI.

During eighties Claudio played with several great names of international jazz as ENRICO RAVA and MASSIMO URBANI, CHET BAKER, JIMMY OWENS, SAM RIVERS, CHICO FREEMAN, JACK WHALRAT, DWAYNE ARMSTRONG, STEVE COLEMAN.

He also payed in various Italian Progressive Music groups, as CIRCUS 2000, LIVING LIFE, DEDALUS and NEW AREA.

As sideman he payed in about eighty records, Dvds and Cds, and live on stage he played with CLAUDIO VILLA, LOREDANA BERTE', FRANCESCO DE GREGORI, PIERANGELO BERTOLI, MARCELLA BELLA, FAUSTO LEALI, EDOARDO VIANELLO, also in several national RAI TV programs as FANTASTICO, SERATA D'ONORE, DOMENICA IN, BLITZ; out of Italy he worked at RADIO MONTECARLO FRANCE.

As classical saxophonist he played as soloist in the AZIO CORGHI's Opera GARGANTUA, in World Premiere, and in various other performances with TEATRO REGIO SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA.

He collaborated with INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FEDERATION of UNESCO and gained the INTERNATIONAL MUSIC YEAR of EUROPE PRICE in 1985.

Other collaborations in recording studio and live with LIGABUE, LITFIBA, STATUTO and other primary italian artists.

He has done important teaching activity collaborating with Palermo BRASSCLUB and CONSERVATORY, at SAVIGLIANO JAZZ SCHOOL and others.

Actually Claudio is the lead alto in the Giampaolo Petrini BIG BAND with collaborations and records with Demo MORSELLI, Antonella RUGGIERO and Massimo LOPEZ, he also have a Quartet project and some collaborations with Flavio BOLTRO.

As director he worked from 1995 to 2011 in the Corpo Musicale Città di Settimo Torinese making a Cd and a live collaboration with the actor DAVID RIONDINO.
