My mission is to make music. Good music that people want to listen to again and again. Music that makes you want to sing along or dance. Or just nod your head to the rythm, whatever suits you. I hope my music has a uniqueness to it that you can hear- the voice and mind of City Cowboy.

I grew up during the synth era and it shows in my music I guess. Classical music is also a big inspiration for me. I choose to make music using digital tools and my voice. The tools are not the important thing, the song itself is! Mind you, I do actually play instruments and I never use "readymade" beats or anything like that. Every single note has actually been played by me. The key element is the melody, the chords and the harmonies. This must exist on top of a foundation of solid rythm, bass and drums. I want to create an atmosphere. Then come the lyrics. Sometimes the message might be clear but other times it leaves you wondering or reflecting. The words must be carefully chosen at all times, although sometimes they might not actually have any deeper meaning. Or maybe they do - in your mind!

I have made a few cover songs but where nothing else is stated the composition is entirely my own, music and lyrics.
