Founded onsolid principles, good friends, excellent musicians, and wide fan base and agreat stage show, CHUM stays busy all year , playing nightclubs, outdoor fairs,hotels, corporate events, and parties throughout California, and the Southwest



In their 15year existence, CHUM has released five studio albums:



· In2001,The Dewey Decibel System wonaccolades from critics, and fans. TheDewey Decibel System helped define the modern surf sound for the newmillennium, and has been copied by many bands



· 2005saw the release of For Those About ToSurf – A deep introspective look at the heavier side of surf music,alongside delicate traditional tracks.



· In2007, Downtown

Beach

showcased the big guitar sound of CHUM, Downtown Beach brings instrumental surf rock back to it’s 1950’sroots, and draws comparisons to early instrumental guitar pioneers such as LinkWray, and Duane Eddy.



· Inthe Summer of 2009, CHUM released their 4th studio album Super Not Cool. Further exploring the sounds that influencedtheir Downtown

· 2011brought Fighting Words a tongue incheek play on words that exemplifies the versatility that CHUM brings. The heavy groove oriented base of the bandalong with the new wave flavorings, and spaghetti western influences.
