Latin group Los Caminates originally comprised Guanajuato, Mexico-born siblings Agustín, Horacio, Brígido and Martín Ramirez along with Humberto Navarro.
Releasing their debut album Supe Perder in 1983, the group proceeded to rack up a series of hits including "Cuando Dos Almas, " He Sabido, " "Porque Tengo Tu Amor" and "Ven y Abrazame" throughout the mid-1980s. Keyboardist Mario Sotelo replaced Brígido Ramirez in time for 1986's De Guanajuato...Para America, which generated the hit "Amor sin Palabras." Tragedy struck Los Caminates soon after when Martín Ramirez was killed in an accident; the surviving members released a tribute album, Gracias Martín, in 1987, and despite a subsequent series of line-up changes continued recording and touring throughout the decade to follow. ~ Jason Ankeny
