Born in 1962, he lives in Fulda/ Germany. First experiences in the free jazz scene of Göttingen in the mid 80s. Sessions with Wolfgang Schoberth, Peter Walliste, Max Hessler and others at the monthly EXPERIMENTA of the Apex Jazz Club. In 1988 he moved to Fulda playing in different bands and solo/duo/ trio- projects mainly with Martin Meyer and Wolfgang Schoberth.

Central idea of the -for the most part -improvised music is a melting pot of jazz roots, a harmolodic concept, progressive rock ideas, psychedelic sounds, chorals and gospels. Bluntly said: modal and beyond, playing the music and not the background.
