On “Draw The Plot” The Fridge masterfully blends gravity and lighthearted optimism to create wildly gentle melodies infused with a remarkable depth of feeling and stirring powerful emotions.
The band, fronted by mastermind Chregi Müller, uses brass, piano, glockenspiel, guitars, bass, drums, choir music and a range of electronic equipment to build delicate song structures that stand somewhere between indie pop and freak folk. Müller’s voice will echo in your ears, warning of the demons we all know far too well. No, what The Fridge has for us here is definitely no light fare.

All the same it is a remarkable and inspiring record, luring audiences with subtleties and lovingly arranged details. Thanks in great part to producer James Gruntz, “Draw the Plot” has materialized as a mesmerizing blend of power and intimacy that holds all its listeners spellbound.
