The Chain Poets first started in Atlanta, GA, where singer/guitarist Greg Kaegen, drummer Michael Patrick, and bassist T. Penland Cone worked on their poppy alternative rock until they developed a solid and well-respected live show.
Their eponymous debut appeared in the spring of 2002, followed by just barely being left off the star-studded I Am Sam soundtrack despite recording a cover of "Help!" for it. ~ Bradley Torreano
