A local band from Quebec, Canada, Centrifugal Force features a group of talented and apparently bookish musicians who bathe their dense compositions in poetic posturing and symphonic trappings.
Featuring one-time Men Without Hats member Colin Doroschuk, this group uses classical brass instruments, progressive synthesizers, and programmed sequences to achieve a layered sound that is alternately highbrow and funky. Matter is their 1998 debut, released on the independent Canadian label U.F.O.R.I.A. ~ Roxanne Blanford
