Cedric Gervais moved from his native Paris -- where he had spun at Le Queen -- to Miami Beach in 1998, when he was a teenager, for the sake of advancing his DJ career.
Within only three years, he was releasing his own productions for Ultra sublabel You, and he released his first commercial DJ mix, The House Sessions, in 2003. By then, he was an in-demand remix producer, but he continued to release original material on 12" -- often through his Sleaze and Sleaze Industry labels -- and put together his first artist album, Miamication, in 2011. The years 2012 and 2013 were his biggest yet. The single "Molly" (2012) topped out at number five on the U.K. dance chart. His remix of Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" (2013) reached the Top Ten of the U.K., Australia, and U.S. pop charts. ~ Andy Kellman
