I began writing music when I was 12 years old. I attended University of Oregon, participating in a sorority, honors socities, an acapella group, women's choir, and two cover-rock groups. I auditioned twice for American Idol but was not admitted, as hard as it was taking "no" for an answer. I helped out with Hands On Nashville during the flood in 2009 when I visited for the summer and also did community service trips with my church during college. I nearly moved to Nashville to live with my brother when I was 19 but I wasn't ready for the leap after witnessing the incredible talent. I spent the next 3 years working on my performing, singing, and songwriting. My passion for music never went away as much as I tried to adapt to the "real world". After traveling to Europe, teaching for a year, forming new relationships, and growing up, my songs have evolved, and I am excited to share them with you.
