Cars Can Be Blue embrace a raunchy, rambunctious style of indie pop, one that could be said to sound like a jangly, jumpy mash-up of Tullycraft and the Moldy Peaches.
Nate Mitchell (drums, vocals) and Becky Brooks (guitar, vocals) formed the band in the summer of 2002, and its debut album, All the Things We Can Do, was released on Happy Happy Birthday to Me three years later. Cars Can Be Blue's sophomore album, Doubly Unbeatable, came out in 2008. ~ Margaret Reges
