“A voice of gold” is how Swansea’sEvening Post defines Singer-Songwriter Caroline Harrison.
Originally born in Kent, it could havebeen a very different musical story for Caroline but a family move to rural WestWales in 1997 went on to help shape what looks to be a very promising career inmusic.
Growing up listening to the Mamas &the Papas, Dusty Springfield, Dionne Warwick and many more it is evident thatthis era has very much inspired her own sound.
Having one of her songs successfullyplaced in a Brazilian Soap Opera series led on to securing a Publishing dealwith Peer Music in November 2010 and since then she has traveled extensivelygaining much credit as a Songwriter globally.
Over the past few months Caroline has continued to build on her ever increasing fan base playinga number of successful sets on both London’s Acoustic circuit and across theUK. She has been recording herdebut EP out in Stockholm with the acclaimed Peter Kvint behind the production.
Her debut Single ‘Beyond theDarkened Sky’ was released on June 17th and has been gaining muchmomentum with over 170 regional Radio Stations in the UK and Europe gettingbehind the it, including, Smooth Radio, BBC 6 Music & BBC Radio Wales.
The single has also been playlisted on over 70 stations with BBC Radio Wales naming her ‘Welsh Artist of the Week’ during the launch week.
Caroline was recently invited toperform live for the BBC Radio Wales Music Day and has been supported by BBC Introducing after taking part inthe BBC Introducing Master Class in Cardiff.
Recent support slots haveincluded opening for Texas in association with the Love Live Music campaign for Smooth Radio, CharlotteChurch, Jodie Marie and a very successful 8-date tour of Germany supportingLivingston.
Caroline will be embarking on asolo acoustic tour of Ireland in September and plans are in place for a UK andGerman tour later this year.
With the EP complete and thesecond single set for release in September, 2013 looks to be a very exciting yearfor Caroline.
