The individual members of Can Can Heads emerged from a scene of experimental troupes from their native Finland to create their own sound of free jazz and guitar noise.
With an added quirkiness of lo-fi funk and critical comparisons to the likes of the Cow and God Is My Co-Pilot, Bad Vugum Records released Can Can Heads' debut EP, Last Tongues in Ass Pick, in 1996, followed by the Formation of Oxen With Fire 7" two years later. ~ Mike DaRonco
