Caito Marcondes comes from a long line of great Brazilian percussionists.
Equally versed in Brazilian folk and classical music, Marcondes has played with Milton Nascimento, Hermeto Pascoal, Toninho Horta, and Marlui Miranda and has composed ballet scores and television and film soundtracks. Marcondes joined with the California-based Turtle Island String Quartet and trombone player Francois de Lima of Brazilian big band Banda Mantiqueira to record a multicultural album, Porta Do Templo, in 1995. ~ Craig Harris
