It is beat-driven, scifi/horror-themed industrial electronic music, with dark content and a gritty vocal style. Artists with a similar sound to Brainclaw might be Gary Numan, Project Pitchfork or Front 242. The live Brainclaw show is something to see, and after the release of the new album, the live show will hit the road again…

The core of Brainclaw is electronic musician David Giuffre, who has also created or participated in the groups Carfax Abbey and God Shaped Void, as well as doing extensive production work for all above projects, as well as Cesium 137, Ian Haag, Raichyl Sinversa, Divers Lust and many others.

His music has appeared in The Matrix and Spiderman movies, as well as several independent film productions. He continues to do production work, having just completed recording and producing Carfax Abbey‘s new album, Caustic Revolution, as well as a new album from Native American Cedar Flute artist Ian Haag, and doing the post-production on Cesium 137′s latest recording, Science and Sound. In addition, he has just completed the latest Brainclaw album, DECEPTOR.

Tara Lessard, David’s long-time writing partner, recently helped him complete the long-awaited album, DECEPTOR, which will see release in 2012. With the completion of DECEPTOR, which also completes the trilogy of albums including Insekt/Angel and Dead Monsters that she participated in, she has decided to move on from active participation in Brainclaw to pursue her burgeoning photography career, as well as MMA fighting and LGBT activism.

She has handled a bit of everything, from lyric writing to synth programming, booking and management to quality control, design and live synth playing and live vocals.

Kim Thompson is Brainclaw‘s live keyboardist, among many other things.

She is a creative powerhouse, being a professional graphic designer, web designer and bass player for Carfax Abbey!

Kim is self-taught on both synth and bass, and is a consummate professional on both. She brings her many talents into play in Brainclaw and Carfax Abbey on a regular basis.

Master guitarist John Ruszin has contributed massive tracks of axe to the new Brainclaw album, DECEPTOR. He is also the Brainclaw live guitarist, and longtime friend and collaborator to David.

John has been in many successful musical projects, and David joined forces with him to cofound the original Carfax Abbey industrial rock project in 1996. Most recently, John recorded and produced Single Bullet Theory‘s latest album.

The Brainclaw live show has included many excellent players over the years, including Lorie Kleeman on synthesizers and James Sewell on drums.
