Botbass may be 23 years young but he has already established himself as Colombia’s top producer and remixer of Electro House.
Having started his professional career in 2006 at just 15, working with a well known producer from his local scene “Junatik”, (ex-member of the duo The Latin Players) as his mentor, Botbass began to hone his skills in the studio.

Heavily influenced by the musical talents of artists like Deadmau5, Noisia, Hatiras, and Justice, Botbass combined his skills with the piano, drums, and other instruments, with his love for bass heavy music resulting in productions known for their deep melodies and elaborate, phat and dirty basslines.

In 2008 Botbass released his first 2 original tracks “Nexxos” and “Miracle Arpeggio”, both of which were produced along with Colombian Dance Hall singer Hall Afaz Natural, under the record label Melodic Records, which is located in Bogota city, Colombia.

In 2009, Botbass continued releasing material like his “Bear Garden Remix” and “Great Fusion”, in a full length album along with Colombian producer Milton Channels whose music and production styling’s had much influence on Botbass as he was developing as an artist.

Around that time Botbass also started an online radio and video station known as “DjOnLive”, where he has taken on the role of director, host and on some occasions also as a DJ, bringing talent from all over Columbia to audiences around the world.

In 2011, Botbass decided to explore some other genres that have always moved him and delved into the realm of House and Progressive House with an EP containing four singles: “Ravestar”, “Love in Dubai”, “Gravity” and “Far Moon”, which was released on Sweet Records. Receiving much support from artists throughout Columbia and other big players outside of his home country, Botbass had begun to establish himself as force to be reckoned with.

Going international began for Botbass when he was signed to the North American based record label Kick It Recordings, run by Farace and Sneaker & The Dryer. In August of 2011 Kick It released their first single with Botbass entitled “Twin Nation”, a massive Electro House banger with two wicked remixes from the likes of OLMEC and Kyle Cross. “Twin Nation” received support from Juno Download as well as from well known artists in the industry like Karton, Wavewhore, Yreane, and VovKing among others.

Among his most popular tracks are “Dance or Die” and “Fantasy” (Original Mix) which were released in 2008, the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s “Heads Will Roll” the Botbass Remix from 2009 which is available as a free download and one of his most recent works “Twin Nation”. In the pipeline for 2011 Botbass will be hitting your ears with “Sunshine Fever”, due out later this year and Silverfilter “Manila Sound” the Botbass Remix, which will be out on Kick It Recordings.

Botbass is continuing to develop his sound and style by diligently working in the studio and hammering out big time tunas, so rest assured, you will soon be seeing Botbass, side by side with the biggest names in Electronic Dance Music, be on the lookout for big things to come from this budding
