German DJ Bossi (born Stefan Bossems) started getting involved in dance music in the late '80s.
Mostly influenced by European synth-pop outfits and hip-hop artists, Bossi began DJing in 1987. Soon after, while still spinning turntables in local parties, Klaus Derichs joined him to form a DJ/producer team focused on house music. In 1996, Bossi started working with X-it Records to release his own productions, making his debut with "Time to Make the Floor Burn" in 1997. "Back ll the Old Skool" followed a year later.

In 1999, Stefan Bossems teamed up with Claus Terhoeven (aka Nic Chagall) to assemble an electronica project named Cosmic Gate. ~ Drago Bonacich
