The project was born as a testament to the odyssey of heart mind and geography that they both have shared for the past 7 years.

BONE GUNN is restless at the core. This is illustrated by the cascading landscapes of the music they generate. They have taken their "Psychotropic, Hard-folk, Space-polka, Happy hour" around the globe from all major U.S. cities to Japan, Europe and Canada.

Brian Penny brings his "music as a language" mentality to the band. He quite literally has played music since he was a toddler. Brian's musical ability has encompassed a spectrum that ranges from "Ravel" to "Lamb of God". This point is readily apparent when he dons his guitar and takes the stage.

Bryan Kane was born into traditional gaelic music, with 10 aunts and uncles all singing and playing instruments. This made ethnic rhythm and melody a keystone of Bryan's psyche. His dive into alternate culture brought a harder edge to the array of Influences over his music. Thus birthing the signature sound of BONE GUNN.

Perhaps the most apt analogy made to date in reference to the sound of the band was worded as "Paul Simon meets Nine Inch Nails, covered in purple paint"...... enough said.
