Most recently, BK has been seen across the world with international musical icon, Prince, as a member of an 11-piece horn section known as the New Power Generation (NPG) Orchestra. Prince just wrapped up a three-day concert series in Chicago, IL at the United Center where he performed in front of sold out audiences each night. Each concert was followed by sold out after party jam session at the House of Blues. BK can also be spotted in Prince’s new music video for his latest single, Rock & Roll Love Affair. BK is also a member of NPG Records artist Andy Allo’s band and makes an appearance in her latest music video for her international single, People Pleaser.

In August 2008, BK released his debut CD “On the Move.” This CD is very impressive, especially given that most of the original tunes were co-written by BK at age 16, with the exception of Feelin’ Saxy, which was written by him when he was in the seventh grade. The single “Believe That” was featured on the September 2008 Jazziz Magazine CD sampler. Jazziz Magazine’s review said: “the saxophonist sounds like a seasoned contemporary jazz veteran rather than a high school student.” He is truly a talent well beyond his years! BK is currently in the studio with James Lloyd of Pieces of a Dream putting the finishing touches on his sophomore release entitled, Something 2 Say.

BK is in his senior year of college at Florida A&M University (FAMU) studying Jazz Studies and Music Industry. He has become extremely involved in the university since stepping foot on the hill, including numerous committee appointments as the official representation of the student body. BK has also been apart of the Student Senate at FAMU since his freshman year and currently serves as President of the 42nd Student Senate. For the past two years, you could also catch BK on WANM 90.5 FM, as he was a jazz personality for the Jazz Central Station on Friday mornings. To compliment his studies and other extra curricular activities, BK is a Fall 2010 initiate of the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

BK is determined to make it to the big stage as a contemporary jazz artist and plans on using his degree and experiences to become a community advocate for jazz music!
