B Hogan got his first exposure to rock and roll when he heard Metallica’s “Ride the Lightening” forever changing his thoughts and tastes in music.
Even though he has a passion for classic rock, his real love is Punk. As a teenager he formed a garage band, that never left the garage, called “5 0’Clock Ska.” Although there were a few ska influenced tracks, the songs were mainly punk. The band broke up shortly after, and frustrated because there was a lack of punkers in his small town of Jensen Beach, B Hogan persued his solo career. His album “A Moment of Clarity”showed promise and gained local success. His music also grabbed the attention of international outlets including those in Lithuania, Australia, and England, to name a few. He also sent a tape in to Fat Wreck Chords, a label created by one of his idols, Fat Mike of “NOFX.” Although they passed him up, they gave him props saying, “You guys are pretty good rock on.” Much like NOFX, B Hogan self released his album on his own label, B Records. He is in the process of writing new songs and plans to play some live shows in the coming year. The light shines bright for his future and he is hopeful and excited for whats to come.
