Beerocephals (Бироцефалы) — a rock band from Leningrad (1989), Russia, who began its career in the days of the legendary underground club "Tam-Tam".
This is the first band who began playing hard-core in Russia. And also the first hard-core band on BBC radio who was invited to play live at Seva Novgorodtsev show.
In 1994, after the tragic death of the bas-guitarist, the band left the stage for 5 years. The revival began in 1999, when the bass-guitarist of the "Hasta La Vista Che" band Gurba met the Beerocephals vocalist Gans. At the same time, Gans, almost single-handedly, recorded the first studio album "Dance trash" in pogo dance style at "Do-Re-Mix" studio.
In 2000 the band receives a new member - Dashka, who brings an uncommon accordion sound to the band. In 2003 Beerocephals release the second studio album "Alcohol Punk Madness". And in 2005 follows the "Charku Nalivai!". In 2007, the band gets two more new members at once: Andrey Maslov (guitars) of the legendary punk-band "The Pauki" and Dmitry "Zork" Solopov (guitars), Gurba's colleague from "Hasta La Vista Che". The band releases the fourth studio album "Idem Pit Pivo". This is an album of mixed styles: from hardcore to ska, folk. Here you can also hear the new instruments the band used - tuba and bagpipes.
In 2008, the band released an official video for the song "Zabei!", which was rotated on a first alternative channel A1 for over 3 months. In 2009 Beerocephals were nominated for the RAMP 2009 awards as the Band of the Year and The Founding of the Year. Since 2008, the band is the endorser of the legendary English shoe brand "TUK' in Russia.
Throughout the years the participation in various festivals and gigs with stars is extremely wide and diverse: FPG, Spiders, Bike Show "Night Wolves" - Festival overdrive, MadSin, DoobyJungle, Meantrators, Beer Festivals, Alice, front, Kaliningrad in rock, Fish festival in Karelia, Brigadny Podryad, Troll Gnet El, North Gates, the festival at Copper lake, Puntala Rock 2012 in Finland, etc., etc.
