Frank began working on outlines and ideas for songs at home. He then started his search for the completing members of what Barnum is today.

The first member to be added to the band would be Drummer Arnoldo while talking to Frank at a bar both decided to begin the project together after Arnoldo had heard some of the demo versions of songs. A few months would go by before the band would be able to recruit a new member. In October 2009 Frank met bass player Andres Chavarria through a mutual friend. Andres would then be responsible for bringing in singer Diego in early January 2010.

Barnum began rehearsing on January 10th 2010. Shortly after that, the band would receive an answer to a wanted ad that was placed looking for a Keyboard player/sampler, Hubert filled the position and brought in new ideas and songs that matched the concept and desired sound of the project.

In mid 2010, Andres had to leave and during the search for a new bass player Frank called up Jeff who had played with Frank in an early version of Barnum and a Korn Tribute concert in late 2007. After several rehearsals the band was happy with Jeff's style and invited him to be a permanent member.

Barnum recorded a demo in late 2010 and has released their debut EP "Devices" free to download in March 6, 2012.
