Interested in the ideas of social interaction, psychedelia, and sexuality, Axelrod is known best for his unique use of materials & aesthetic choices, inspired by Dr. Seuss, Walt Disney, donuts and Wu-tang.
As a practitioner of vast disciplines including painting, installation, performance, sculpture and video art, Axelrod's work has been displayed in galleries, museums and public spaces in cities across the country. Collaborations have included projects for Walt Disney, KCRW, The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, TOMS, Coachella, Skee.TV, Vans, LA Sheriffs Dept. and Google to name a few.
