Often described as a proverbial “old soul’, songwriter and artist, Audrianna Cole may be just 20 years old but her music compels listeners to believe otherwise.
Despite her age, you can instantly tell from Audrianna’s music that she’s been through her fair share of trials and tribulations. She grew up listening to pop ‘heroes’ like Britney Spears & the Backstreet Boys, but as she grew older, her musical tastes evolved to include rock & blues influences like Johnny Cash & Lightnin’ Hopkins.
While Audrianna’s early life resembled most teens, it was a Saturday afternoon, almost 4 years ago when fate stepped in and dramatically altered its course. While stopped in traffic, accompanying her military father, an 18-wheeled Semi crashed into them at freeway speeds. While Audrianna escaped with minor injuries, her father was less fortunate. His injuries were so severe that he was discharged from the military. In order to care for her father, a young Audrianna made the decision to leave public school to be home-schooled.
While looking after her father Audrianna started learning to play the guitar and discovered a passion for writing & singing. Soon after, she started to record covers and craft new songs to upload to MySpace, Youtube, and Facebook. With her father’s help and support word quickly spread leading to a chance meeting with Florida-based talent manager Kelly Newton of Jack N’ Jill Management. Of her accident Audrianna says “It’s funny how life works out. If my family hadn’t gone through their traumatic & trying time, I would have never ultimately seen myself fulfilling my life’s meaning- to create & share”.
Since then, she has written alongside some of music’s most accomplished songwriters & producers including: Linda Perry (Pink), Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson), Andy Dood and Adam Watts (Jesse McCartney, Demi Lovato), Carvin and Ivan (Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole, Estelle) .
Despite not having any major record label backing, Audrianna’s music has transcended the boundaries of Youtube, with her song “You’ve Got My Heart” featured in the new Vera Wang/Zales ad campaign. Moreover, she has secured endorsements from major retailers, Blue Mic, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.
On a final note, as Audrianna continues to hone her craft as a songwriter and musician, it’s clear for all to see and hear that this is only the beginning for this young star as she sets out on her creative musical journey.
