The song "Renew Your Heart" was chosen to be featured on a Blind Artists compilation album sponsored by the Performing Artist Division of the National Federation of the Blind.
Asli's music is in the Adult Album Alternative, Soft Rock genre in a style that is a cross between the Indigo Girls, Billy Joel, and a gentler Paula Cole. Her trademark is creating meaningful lyrics that capture a story or an emotion and present it to the audience in a melodic fashion. Her songs will leave you with a message and a lasting melody.
Asli loves to harmonize with her fellow musicians literally and figuratively. You can often see her performing as a backup singer for other local area bands and songwriters. She is a strong believer in the community of songwriters working together to expand their craft and achieve their goals through such organizations as the Central Florida Folk, International Songwriters Guild (ISG), and the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI).
Asli previously worked at the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral on the Space Shuttle and Delta IV Rocket Programs. Since she is legally blind, she gained the nickname of the "Blind Rocket Scientist". Although she currently works for the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Software Engineer the nickname has persisted!
