Ariana Grande is just full of sweet(ner) surprises!
During Sunday night’s second headlining set at Coachella, the pop superstar delighted fans by inviting Justin Bieber on stage to perform with her. After kicking things off with the song “raindrops (an angel cried)” from her sweetener album, the singer transitioned into “God Is a Woman,” and various other hits from her thank u next record.
Towards the end of the set, Grande brought out her surprise guest Justin Bieber. “We thought it might be fun to do something for you guys,” Grande said before the duo launched into a performance of his 2015 hit, “Sorry.” Grande and Bieber can both be heard on Lil Dicky’s new single “Earth.”
“I haven’t been on stage in like two years. I came out here I had no idea I was going to be on stage tonight,” Bieber told the crowd, according to PEOPLE. “So anyways this is my first time on stage in two years. I had to get my groove back, my swag back. By the way, album coming soon.”
Grande’s making a habit of wowing the crowd with guest appearance. During last week’s headlining set, she welcomed ‘NSYNC stars Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick to come out and sing their 1997 hit “Tearin’ Up My Heart” with her. Nicki Minaj also came out to perform their 2016 hit “Side to Side,” and Diddy appeared to sing “Mo Money Mo Problems,” with Grande singing Faith Evans’ verse.
