Three months after breaking her silence following treatment after a hospitalization late last year,
Selena Gomez is returning to the spotlight later this month for a cause close to her heart.
The singer and actress, 26, is set to make an appearance at WE Day California on April 25 to celebrate youth leading lasting social change, PEOPLE confirms exclusively.
“Every year, WE Day leaves me feeling inspired and hopeful. The youth have an incredible positive and passionate attitude for making real change in the world,” says Gomez in a statement. “I’m so proud to celebrate young people’s year of social change and to remind them that together, we are an unstoppable movement dedicated to a brighter and better tomorrow.”
The “Back to You” singer has long been a familiar face at the annual event, which has seen her open up to her young fans about topics ranging from dealing with pressure to the support she received after her kidney transplant.

Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the event — sponsored by The Allstate Foundation and Unilever — will air Aug. 9 on ABC at 8 p.m. EST. Mahershala Ali, Chance the Rapper, Joe Jonas, Bill Nye, Natalie Portman, Meghan Trainor, Hailee Steinfeld, will.i.am and more will also hit the stage at the Forum in L.A.
The WE Day televised event is sponsored by The Allstate Foundation, Walgreens and Microsoft.
WE co-founders Craig and Marc Kielburger will join the A-listers in front of 16,000 students and educators who have made a difference in their local and global communities, according to a release.

It’s incredibly inspiring to see young people who are committed to changing the world,” says Craig in a statement. “WE Day California will bring together thousands of students who are raising their collective voice as they work towards creating a future for all — this generation is speaking up and the world is listening.”
