Is a full release on the cards?
Ariana Grande surprised fans at a concert in Washington D.C. on Monday by performing a track that she’s never released.
The ‘Thank U, Next’ previously teased ‘She Got Her Own’ in a Snapchat clip from 2016, but the full track has never seen the light of day.
That was the case until Monday (March 25), when the singer surprised fans by performing the track in full during her show at the Capital One Arena.
Grande was joined by her close friend and frequent collaborator Victoria Money for the performance, which can be viewed in full below.
It seems that Ariana is planning on a wider release too, after teasing fans on Instagram shortly after the show and hinting at the release of another track.
“I know you’re all going to spam us with ‘DROP IT NOW’ but there’s a plan! we promise. patience. oh and we made another one this trip too,” she wrote.
“You’ll get that one too. at some point (sic)”.
Victoria, who co-wrote a selection of songs on Ariana’s latest album ‘Thank U, Next’, also said that the performance was the perfect way to celebrate Ariana’s ‘7 Rings’ spending its seventh week at number one.
“Most fun way to celebrate a 7th week at number 1 you’re A LEGEND on and off stage I love you,” she wrote.
This comes after it was revealed that Ariana signed away 90 percent of the royalties to ‘7 Rings’, as the track samples Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ‘My Favourite Things’.
Ariana is continuing to tour the whole of North America – before the ‘Sweetener’ tour heads to Europe later this year. As well as headlining Manchester Pride this year, Grande will be supporting her ‘Sweetener‘ with a long run of dates kicking off in London in August and ending in Zurich in December.
